The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) comprises distinguished Fellows across three Academies (Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science), College Members (New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists), and Institutional Members from all regions of Canada. With a diverse membership of over 2,500 Fellows, 400 College Members, and 60 institutions, the RSC brings together interdisciplinary expertise to engage with and provide insight on pressing national issues. Through an annual nomination process, the RSC seeks to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions in research and public life, emphasizing inclusive excellence and a commitment to equity and diversity.
McMaster University, an Institutional Member of the RSC, is launching its internal call for Notices of Intent (NOIs) to nominate faculty for the 2025 cohort of RSC Fellows. Nominees, who must demonstrate remarkable achievements within Canadian or international contexts, may qualify under three pathways: Fellows, Specially Elected Fellows, or International Fellows. Faculty members interested in nominating or being nominated should contact their Associate Dean, Research and submit completed NOI forms by July 19, 2024.
The nomination period for the 2025 cohort of RSC Fellows is expected to launch on September 1, 2024, with a tentative nomination deadline of December 13, 2024.
In anticipation of the nomination period for the 2025 Cohort of RSC Fellows, McMaster University is launching its internal call for Notices of Intent (NOIs) to nominate a colleague or be nominated for RSC Fellowship.
