Researchers in the FoS disclose their inventions to the McMaster Industry Liaison Office (MILO), who then work with the inventors to protect their IP, evaluate market opportunities, and commercialize technologies through licensing opportunities or the creation of start-up companies. MILO works with other service providers, such as The Forge and Innovation Factory, to support spin-off companies to take products to market.
